We were pleased to be asked by Keaghan Jacobs if we could produce and sell a programme for his Testimonial match.
With assistance from Edinburgh City programme editor Alick Milne, a 40 page testimonial programme was produced for Keaghan's big day, the first footballer to receive a testimonial at Livingston FC.
Once Keaghan approved front cover, the programme was then added on Pre-order at both Online & Bathgate shops, due to initial orders received, the original order quantity required increasing at printers as became obvious demand would be higher than expected.
We received programmes from printers at start of Keaghan,s Testimonial week and had arranged two programme signing sessions, the first on the Tuesday afternoon at Livingston FC Club Shop where Keaghan,Lee Miller & Scott Robinson signed programmes and had photos with all who purchased copies of testimonial programme.
The second session was the Thursday evening at our Bathgate Shop, which ended up being remarkable. with the event planned for 90 minutes and Keaghan.Ricki Lamie & Scott Pittman in shop. the weather outside was torrential rain. however there was constant visitors arriving to purchase programmes and get the players to sign their programmes and have photos with them, it was a fantastic evening, with plenty happy faces leaving the shop with testimonial programmes.
Both signing events were a success. the players were superb with all who attended.
With good sales from signing events it was concerning that maybe all programmes may possibly sell out before kick off at testimonial.
Thankfully everyone that wanted a programme at match received a copy and was pleasing to have several buyers complimenting about the quality of programme.
After a month of long hours to create a programme from scratch, get advertisers, print programme, promote events then sell programmes. it was incredible to surpass funds expected and to prove printed programmes are profitable if planned properly.
